The Hart House Underwater Club (HHUC) is an active scuba training club at Hart House, which is part of the University of Toronto.
HHUC is affiliated with the National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI), a world-renowned international scuba certifying agency. SCUBA is an acronym for self-contained underwater breathing apparatus.
HHUC offers a variety of instruction including: scuba courses, underwater hockey, breath-hold diving, stamina and fitness training, as well as our Inner Space Seminars and various social events. Our goals are education about the underwater world, having fun and building friendships with our fellow divers.
We hope to introduce University of Toronto students, divers and the general public to the wonders of the underwater world, marine conservation, and informal mentorship between undergrad students, graduate students, alumni and the wider community beyond the university.
