The Concrete Boot
Paul Andersen and Larry Lundy found the concrete boot in the 60s, along with lots of other anchors, in the Crooked S Rapids of the French River.
The Concrete Boot Award was awarded many times and in good fun, in recognition of the funniest blunder on a dive weekend. One of the best blunders was losing the concrete boot and having to make a new one. Anyone know where either of them got to?
Here’s Andrew Garay, multiple winner of the concrete boot, awarding it to the next year’s recipient, Frank Luet.

Blockhead Awards
The Blockhead Awards were awarded for minor humorous incidents over the course of the diving season and always got a good laugh on Awards Recognition Night when a half dozen or so Blockheads were awarded each year. The award itself was a goofy, ephemeral
gift somehow symbolic of the event, or helpful in prevention in the future.
